Brian Cox

Brian Denis Cox CBE (born 1 June, 1946, in Dundee, Scotland) is a prolific Hollywood actor. Originally from Scotland and of Irish ancestry, Cox has lived in New York City for over two decades.

Career[]

Cox specialises in film roles, often corrupt government and military figures such as William Stryker in X2, the man responsible for the transformation of Wolverine, or Ward Abbott, the shadowy figure who manipulated and almost destroyed Jason Bourne in The Bourne identity. Cox also played the first big-screen version of Hannibal Lecter (five years before Anthony Hopkins) in Manhunter.

Involvement with Red Dwarf[]

In Red Dwarf, Brian Cox played the role of the King of Camelot in Series VII's "Stoke Me a Clipper" (1997)
