Dingotangs were chimera-type GELF (genetically engineered life form). They were created using the DNA of orangutans with the heads of dingoes.

Dingotangs were a type of chimera-type GELFs, genetically engineered life forms with the bodies of orangutans and the heads of dingoes. The Dingotangs, like many other inhabitants of their asteroid belt, were originally transported from Earth aboard the spaceship Mayflower. However, the GELFs aboard the ship mutinied, causing the vessel to drift uncontrollably through the Omnizone, a mysterious region of space.
As members of the Great GELF State, Dingotangs were known for their brutality and lack of refinement. Their physical strength and vicious temperament made them ideal enforcers, and they were employed as guards at the prison camp Cyberia on the planet Lotomi 5.
One of the more notable Dingotangs, Deki, had a twisted relationship with a Symbi-morph, a shape-shifting companion he forced to provide pleasure to Dave Lister.(Last Human)
