The following article is a listing of documentaries in the Red Dwarf franchise.
- The first Red Dwarf documentary was "The Red Dwarf A-Z", created for the 10th anniversary of the television series, and aired as part of Red Dwarf Night on BBC 2 on Valentines Day in 1998. This was a half-hour documentary that chose a different aspect of the show to focus on for each letter of the alphabet. Talking heads on the episode included fans Stephen Hawking, Terry Pratchett, original producer Paul Jackson, and Patrick Stewart.
- "Launching Red Dwarf" is a documentary created for the 2002 release of Series I on DVD. It follows the origins of the show, and the writing, casting and production of the first series.
- "It's Cold Outside" is a documentary created for the Series II DVD in 2003 detailing the creation of Series II. However it was not included in the DVD release, and instead the Red Dwarf A-Z was included instead. "It's Cold Outside" would eventually be included in the The Bodysnatcher Collection in 2007, and Blu Dwarf in 2019.
- "All Change" is a 2003 documentary regarding the production of Series III and included on the Series III DVD.
- "Built to Last" is a 2004 documentary regarding the production of Series IV and included on the Series IV DVD.
- "Heavy Science" is a 2004 documentary regarding the production of Series V and included on the Series V DVD.
- "Dwarfing USA" was included with the Series V DVD and documents the production of the two pilot episodes for the ultimately failed American version of the televion series, Red Dwarf USA. These pilot episodes were produced shortly after Series V.
- "The Starbuggers" is a 2005 documentary regarding the production of Series VI and included on the Series VI DVD.
- "Back from the Dead" is a 2005 documentary regarding the production of Series VII and included on the Series VII DVD.
- "The Tank" is a 2006 documentary regarding the production of Series VIII and included on the Series VIII DVD. This is the last documentary produced by the BBC.
- "The Making of Back to Earth" is a 2009 documentary produced by Dave and included on the DVD for Back to Earth.
- "We're Smegged" is a 2012 documentary included on the Series X DVD.

- "The 28-Years-Later Affair" is the a 2017 documentary included on the Series XII DVD.
- "The First Three Million Years" is an in-depth three part documentary produced by North One to coincide with the release of the 2020 feature-length special, The Promised Land. It documents the production of the special but is also a retrospective on the entire 30-year-history of the franchise.
