Biography[]
When Kryten contracted the Armageddon Virus from a Simulant battle cruiser, he started to hallucinate himself in a wild west fantasy. He was the town's sheriff and was fighting a losing battle with a drinking problem. When Jimmy told him that the Apocalypse Boys were out in the street, he went outside to parley with them.
The leader, Death, introduced himself and his 3 brothers. One of them was called Famine. He was a large man who wore an eyepatch over his right eye and carried a blunderbuss. When he was introduced to Sheriff Kryten, he was eating a cold chicken leg.
He joined his brothers in firing at Kryten's feet to scare him into leaving town. Later, when they faced the Dwarfers in the street, Famine and the others menaced Rimmer with their knives. When the Apocalypse Boys fired their weapons at Kryten, he survived their bullets long enough to release his dove program, destroying the Apocalypse Boys and the virus they represented. Famine was played by stuntman Dinny Powell. Despite having no dialogue, Powell received full credit for his role.
