- Dave Lister ("White Hole")
Gravity pool, also known as Grav-Pool, was a popular bar game on Earth in the mid-22nd century.
Upon reaching adulthood, Dave Lister still frequented the Aigburth Arms, and had had become something of a legend on the Grav-Pool table.
Three million years later, Lister was able to put these skills to the test when the "played pool with planets". Lister succeeded with a successful trick shot - firing an experimental nuclear bomb inside a mining torpedo from Starbug, using the operations table as a makeshift pool table on which Lister's actions directed the trajectory of the missile. He did this whilst drunk, which always improved his game. The explosion knocked a planet into a sun, which in turn caused a solar flare to knock a larger planet into (and block up) a white hole. ("White Hole")
Years later, the boys from the Dwarf found the Casket of Cronus, an immensely powerful artifact, when they looted an abandoned Simulant attack ship. However, the Dwarfers were at first unaware of the purpose of the Casket, and merely used it to prop up the wonky pool table on Starbug. ("Twentica")
