The Multiverse was a strip club located on Venus, the second planet in Earth's Solar System.
History[]
When Arnold Rimmer used a Quantum Skipper to explore different dimensions, he came across a reality where the crew of Red Dwarf were still alive, and his old bunkmate and subordinate Dave Lister was the captain. A number of things made Rimmer insanely jealous, including the fact that Lister had opted for shares in the JMC instead of a pay-off when he had saved the ship from the Cadmium II radiation leak. These shares made Lister a fortune when a planet rich in Helium-7 was discovered.
When Rimmer tried explaining that he was from an other dimension and was exploring "The Multiverse", Lister thought that he was talking about the strip club on Venus of the same name. Lister denied ever going there, before admitting that he was a lifetime member. Soon after, Lister admitted that the had his wife "Krissy" there. Rimmer assumed that that Lister was talking about Kristine Kochanski, with whom his own version of Lister had been in love; but this version of Lister actually meant Crystal, a stripper who had danced on table nine at The Multiverse.
