UKTV, or UKTV Media Limited, is a British multi-channel broadcaster and production company owned by BBC Studios. It is the company which owns and commissioned Series IX to XII of Red Dwarf. It was formed 1 November 1992, the same day GOLD released to the public. UKTV's channels are available via a digital satellite or cable subscription in the UK and Ireland. The Dave, Drama, W and Yesterday channels are also available in the UK on Freeview and Freesat, two free-to-air television services in the UK.

They usually air archived BBC programmes, mostly from BBC Two, such as Red Dwarf and Top Gear, both of which air on Dave, as well as other sitcoms such as Only Fools and Horses and Blackadder.

UKTV have also commissioned their own programmes, mostly nature programmes, for their channels, such as Eden’s Natural Curiosities and Dave’s Hypothetical.

UKTV is the only BBC conglomerate which provides timeshift services to their channels, such as Dave Ja Vu and Alibi +1.
